Dental Implants

Dental implant treatments have been performed in Israel for 30 years. Many studies are being conducted on the subject worldwide, and the field of dental implants is improving and advancing year by year. Smile Plus clinics use only the most advanced implants, which meet the strictest standards and provide the best results over the years.

If a patient has a lack of bone and there is no other option to overcome this, then a bone-building treatment plan is developed for them. Today, there are several methods that can be performed to overcome the need for bone implants, whether they are angled implants, bicon implants, or saddle-shaped implants that are worn on the bone and not inserted into the bone. Of course, each method must be examined to see if it is suitable for the patient.

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a titanium screw that is inserted into the jawbone to replace the root of the tooth. The implants are coated with different materials and undergo special processing, so that each implant will fit exactly the patient’s needs and will fit optimally into the structure of their jaw.

There are 2 main types of implants: conical and cylindrical. Each type has advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of which implant to use is made by the dentist according to the need.

Types of implants:
There are many companies in the world that manufacture dental implants, however, each implant must meet the standards of the country in which it is manufactured. The most stringent standard is the American standard.

In Israel, you can find 3 types of implants:

American implants – with American and Israeli standard marks

European implants – with European standard marks. Some carry an Israeli standard mark

Israeli implants – with Israeli standard marks. Some carry a European or American standard mark
